. 2000 Monster 900ie - SOLD!.........

. $5,300 obo

Pogo has a new family! May my former sweet ride be as good to Glen and his dad Angus as he has been to me for five great years.

--

This is Poggiali "Pogo" the Monster. My affections towards him have been supplanted by Romeo the S2R so I'd like to find Pogo a new owner. He's super clean. Kelley Blue Book value is $6,200. I'm starting below that at $5,300 since at 38k it has logged more miles than the average bike its age. The miles, however, are non-ragged-out miles since I don't ride around red line, nor was the bike used for commuting.

Here are the extras included with the bike:

  • Nichols flywheel
  • Polished rims
  • Yoyodyne clutch slave cylinder
  • BrakeTech ductile iron rear rotor
  • Cyclecat frame sliders
  • Motobella steering damper
  • New seat
  • Kickstand/starter interlock bypass
  • Napoleon Bar End mirrors
I am the original owner. The bike has never been dropped, crashed, backed into, dorked up, or otherwise molested on any level and he has spent his life garaged. Pogo has never left me stranded, nor has he had mechanical problems during his lifetime.

Rough maintenance history (service by Chris Kelley of California Cycleworks):
600 miles, initial oil change (regularly changed after that, using Maxima oil).
1,000 miles, all valves adjusted to "old world" specs.
6000 miles, valves checked.
10,000 miles, belts changed, 1 or 2 valves readjusted.
20,000 miles, belts changed, valves checked, no adjustment.
30,000 miles, belts changed, 1 or 2 valves readjusted.
