Before I let you go to the AMASuperbike site, you need to get past this shrine. |

Today's Lesson in Politics Okay kids, here's your lesson for today: If someone scratches your back, you scratch his or her back in return. Barter. Logroll. Quid pro quo. Mutual suck-up. In this case, I told Dean Adams of AMASuperbike.com that I would build a shrine to him if he put up a link to my site. The link went up, so now I owe him a shrine. (Note: Dean might've linked to me regardless of this shrine. I do not wish to suggest that Dean requires favors. In my case I made a promise...) Now go to AMASuperbike.com for your dose of moto news. |

I asked Dean a few questions about himself, few of which he answered. One of the questions I asked him was if he looked more like Steve Buscemi, Mel Gibson, or Meg Ryan. He did not answer, so we'll have to let that go for now. |

Who is Dean Adams? I haven't a clue. And since I don't have a clue, I will make things up until he corrects me... UPDATE! Dean corrected me. See how far off I was. Born: Yes. Favorite Snack: Donuts. Favorite Drink: Donuts. Favorite Motorcycle: John Deere's EZ250. Available for only a year, this was John Deere's one and only foray into the motorcycling world. As the name suggests, this two-stroke powerhouse was incredibly e-z to ride. It also came standard with lawn mowing attachments. Favorite Racer: Katja Poensgen. She doesn't smell the way the other riders do. Big points for that. Biggest Inspiration: Luke and Bo Duke. They always outran Roscoe P. Coltrane in the General Lee, and they looked totally cool doing it. Paraphrase on Career Choice: "I am a writer, not a journalist. Writers can be engaging dinner companions after a few beers. Journalists just pick at their food and argue about the correct spelling of words normal people never use." |

logrolling \Log"roll`ing\, n 1: act of exchanging favors for mutual gain; especially trading of influence or votes among legislators to gain passage of certain projects 2: rotating a log rapidly in the water (as a competitive sport) 3: act of kissing up to anybody in the motorcycle industry so I can get a personal tour of Ben's motorhome. |
