Here's the one, the only, the Cheesy Store. Off of Highway 76 on the way to Palomar, this humble store sells liquor, tobacco, candy bars, and other country living necessities. There's also a food-serving establishment in this complex, but we've never eaten there. The cyclone fence and busted out sign has a way of diminishing one's appetite.
Ducs in a row: Tim's Monster, James's 748, Koke's 900SS, Zina's 900SS, Henrik's 900SP, Chris's 900SS. This is at Motorcycle Springs, a sandwich shop and mini motorcycle museum. We visit this place every weekend because anybody who digs motorcycles gets our money.
See that sandwich on Tim's plate? It's his second one. How can a skinny guy put down so much food? Even more curious, how did he not fall into a food coma after that? Chris is all smiles because we've made the decision not to drop down into the 115 degree desert.
I think Henrik is practicing for the day when he has a sponsor. Check out how he's holding that bottle: "I drink LiquidX because it gives me zoom!" Koke just wants to choke down his sandwich before he passes out from the heat.
I dig dogs. Some day I'm going to teach mine how to ride on the back of my motorcycle. It's not going to happen, though, until he's so old and feeble that there's no way he can resist while I glue him onto the seat.
Seems that Harleys aren't James's bike of choice. This picture was taken shortly before a dozen Harleys pulled into the parking lot. I don't recall seeing James handing out DRC cards to them just in case they "saw the light" some day.
